You can never go wrong with black, and riding clothes are no exception. Put on a pair of black breeches and a well flitted polo and you’ve got yourself a look that is sleek, modern and professional no matter what the venue. A vest adds layers and is perfect for spring riding (and the pockets come in handy), and a belt with an equestrian theme is a nice touch.
Black is also great for minimizing the look of a rider’s subtle movements and aids, to keep the focus on the horse. Whenever I’m presenting a sale horse I always try to wear all black so (hopefully) they’ll keep their eyes off me!
Black gloves and boots, of course, are the finishing touch.
