Practical Gift Ideas for Equestrians
There seems to be a shortage of clocks around barns and show grounds, so a good watch always comes in handy. It can be used for anything from conditioning and training to just getting home on time (or least trying!). Something lightweight with large digits is ideal. Check here for a good selection to start your search.
As much as I love a quiet, interruption-free afternoon at the barn I always keep my phone with me. Not only is it convenient, especially when you have kids or a busy schedule, but I feel much more secure knowing I could call for help if needed. I like this iPhone Armband. (As as added safety note, never attach your phone to your horse or saddle so that it's accessible in the event of a fall)
Not just any socks and underwear; I'm talking about well made, riding specific undergarments. Tuff Rider makes a great boot sock and they're very reasonably priced. If you're looking for something extra special, Equi-Logic has a Padded Riding Underwear that I have to admit looks incredibly comfortable. Also check out my post Choosing the Right Bra for Riding.
Despite the huge amount of money I've spent on riding boots, I'm ashamed to say they are often neglected. At best they usually get a quick wipe down, and it's starting to take its toll. To get show ring ready a care kit is perfect for maintain (or restore) leather boots. This Rocky Boot Care Kit contains everything you need.
This doesn't require much explanation. Warm coffee or tea equals happy rider! You can find this mug here.
